Canadice is a town in Ontario County, New York. It is part of the Finger Lakes region. Hemlock Lake forms the western town line. Honeoye Lake forms the northeastern town boundary. The town encompasses the entire Canadice Lake. Canadice is approximately forty miles south of Rochester. , the town’s population was estimated at 1,600. Canadice went through several name changes. At first it was “Pittstown,” then sometime later it was renamed to “Honeoye,” and then “Richmond”. When the township was formed, the name was changed to “Canadice.”
