Cazenovia is a village in Madison County, New York. It is located approximately twenty-five miles southeast of Syracuse and is considered part of the Central New York region. The village is located on the southeastern shore of Cazenovia Lake and is oriented around the lake., the village population was estimated at 2,700. The village is within the Town of Cazenovia.

US Route 20 is the main east-west route in the region and in Madison County. As US-20 enters the village from the east, it is named Nelson Street. Route 20 continues into Albany Street, turning south as Forman Street, turning west as Ledyard Avenue, before exiting the village. The main north-south road in the village is New York State Route 13. As NYS-13 enters the village from the north, its name changes from Gorge Road to Sweetland Street, and then quickly changes again to Farnham Street. When Route 13 reaches the center of the village, it turns west and joins the US-20 (Albany Street). They both turn southward at Forman Street and split shortly thereafter. US-20 continues westward, and NYS-13 continues in a southwest direction towards the small city of Cortland.
