Centerville is a town in Allegany County, New York. It is a small and rural town. , the estimated population was just 837. Centerville covers approximately thirty-six square miles. The town was first settled in 1808 and formally established in 1819. The area is considered part of the Southern Tier region and Western New York region. Centerville is around an hour drive southeast of Buffalo. There are three hamlets found in Centerville. They are known as Centerville, Fairview and Higgins.
