Conquest is a town in Cayuga County, New York. It is roughly thirty miles west of Syracuse. Its area is considered part of the Central New York region and Finger Lakes region. Conquest makes up thirty-six square miles that is mostly farmland. , it had a population count of approximately 1,600. The town contains the hamlets of Conquest (formerly Conquest Center), Emerson (formerly The Pepper Mill), Hard Point, and Howland.

The town’s main road is New York State Route 38 (NYS-38). It runs north and south through the middle of the town. Taking this road south brings you to Port Byron. Heading north brings you to the town of Victory. In the middle of town, NYS-38 meets County Route 178 (Slayton Road). It approaches from the east. Taking CR-178 eastbound will bring you to the neighboring town and village of Cato.
