East Rochester is a village in Monroe County, New York. It is located southeast of the City of Rochester., the village population was estimated at 6,300. East Rochester makes up one and a third square miles. The village was incorporated in 1897 with the name “Despatch”. In 1906 it was once again incorporated under its newer, current name. Streets running east-west are named after flowers, Streets running north-south are named after past Presidents.
