Fabius is a rural town in Onondaga County, New York. It is around twenty miles south of Syracuse and considered part of the Central New York region. Fabius encompasses a few hamlets and one village also named Fabius. The village is the main population area. As of December of 2022, the total population was around 2,000. The town was established in 1798 and named after the Roman general Quintus Fabius Maximus Verrucosus.
