Fishkill is a town in Dutchess County, New York. “Kill” is the Dutch word for creek, hence the name of the town. Fishkill sits on the eastern bank of the Hudson River around seventy miles north of New York City. The Newburgh-Beacon Bridge crosses the Hudson River between Newburgh and Fishkill.
