Hancock is a town in Delaware County, New York. It is located in the southwest area of the Catskill Mountains, approximately forty miles east of the City of Binghamton. Hancock is just north of Pennsylvania, divided by the Delaware River. It is the largest town, by size, in Delaware County. The town was established in 1806 and named after the famous John Hancock - signer of the Declaration of Independence.
