Harford is a small and rural town in Cortland County, New York. It is located approximately twenty miles east of Ithaca and approximately fifty miles south of Syracuse. The area is known as the Central New York region. There are two hamlets in Harford. One is named after the town, Harford, and the other is Harford Mills (formerly “South Harford”). The town makes up twenty four square miles., Harford's population was estimated at 850.
