Hornby is the name of a small and rural town in Steuben County, New York. It is ten miles north of the City of Corning., its population was estimated at 1,600, spread out over approximately forty-one square miles. Hornby’s first settlers arrived in 1814. In 1826 the township was established. Hornby is made up of three hamlets. They are named Dyke, Ferenbaugh, and Hornby.
