Jordan, New York
Jordan is the name of a village in Onondaga County, New York. It is one of the two villages of the Town of Elbridge. The other village is named Elbridge. Jordan is in the northern part of town and the village of Elbridge is in the southern area of the town. Of the two, Jordan is slightly larger and is the location of most town offices., the estimated village population was 1,100. The heyday of the village was in the 19th century. The Erie Canal passed through the village bringing in extensive commerce and residents. The Jordan Village Historic District included many structures from the early 19th century.
