Town of Junius, New York
Junius is a town in Seneca County, New York. It is part of the Finger Lakes region and is located approximately halfway between Syracuse to the east and Rochester to the west., Junius was home to an estimated 1,350 residents. The hamlets of Junius are Dublin, Stone Church Corner, Thompson, and West Junius. Dublin is the main population area and the location of most businesses. Junius was formed in 1803. The town area was part of the Central New York Military Tract, a program that paid soldiers of the Revolutionary War by granting them tracts of land. The town has several structures that are included in the National Register of Historic Places.
