Lewisboro is a town in Westchester County, New York. It is located on the Connecticut state line, approximately fifty miles northeast of New York City., the town population was estimated at 12,500. The town was formed in 1747 and named after an early settler, John Lewis. Several hamlets make up the town. They are Cross River, Golden’s Bridge, South Salem, Vista, and Waccabuc.

New York State Route 35 is an east-west bound road in the middle of town that runs from Cross River to South Salem. Just north of South Salem is an intersection that is used for a speed trap. Motorists approaching the hamlet should try to stay below the 30 mph speed limit.
