Lincoln is a town in Madison County, New York. It is located just outside of the small city of Oneida and approximately twenty-five miles east of Syracuse. The town is considered part of the Central New York region. Lincoln is made up of mostly farmland and covers a total area of twenty-five square miles., the town had a population of approximately 1,750. Lincoln encompasses the hamlets of Alene, Clockville, Cottons, Lenox, Perryville, and Mirrellsville. Clockville is the town’s main residential area that was named after some early settlers from the Klock family. It is also where the town offices are located.
