Mexico is the name of a town in Oswego County, New York. It is located approximately thirty-five miles north of the city of Syracuse. Lake Ontario forms the northwestern town line. Within the town, is a village of Mexico. The town also encompasses several hamlets., the combined population was estimated at 5,300. In 1983, the core of the village was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
