Middlesex is a town in Yates County, New York. It is located approximately forty miles southeast of Rochester and is part of the Finger Lakes region. The town sits on the eastern shore of Canandaigua Lake. Middlesex covers thirty-four square miles, most of it being farmland. Five hamlets make up the town. They are Middlesex, Pine Corners, Valley View, Vine Valley, and Williams Corner., Middlesex’s population was estimated at 1,350.

NYS-245 on the other hand keeps on heading south-southwest. Most of Middlesex’s western area is rural and consists of local roads that lead back to NYS-364.
