Milo is a town in Yates County, New York. It is part of New York’s Finger Lakes region. Seneca Lake forms the eastern town line, and Keuka Lake forms the western town line. The village is named Penn Yan. It is split between three towns. Most of the village is inside Milo. The two other smaller portions are in the towns of Benton and Jerusalem.

Taking it south will eventually bring you to the Village of Bath and the Southern Tier Expressway (I-86). Another busy town road is New York State Route 14A (NYS-14A). It runs north-south in the middle of town. Like NYS-54, taking it northbound will bring you to Penn Yan. Along the eastern town line is New York State Route 14 (NYS-14). It runs north-south along Seneca Lake’s western bank. Heading north on NYS-14 brings you to the villages of Dresden and Geneva. Taking it south will bring you to Watkins Glen and then Horseheads. County Route 30 (Second Milo Road) is the town’s main east and west bound road. It leaves Willow Grove and heads east until it reaches County Route 11 (Chubb Hollow Road).

Most traffic stops in Milo occur on the main roads. Citations can be issued by Yates County Sheriff’s Office or New York State Police. Traffic tickets in Milo are adjudicated in the Milo Town Court (Town of Milo Justice Court). The only exception is for tickets issued on village roads. The Penn Yan Village Court retains jurisdiction over such cases.
