Niles is a town in Cayuga County, New York. It is located approximately thirty miles southwest of Syracuse. Niles is part of the Finger Lakes region and rests between two of its lakes, Owasco Lake on the western side and Skaneateles Lake on the eastern side. The town covers a total area of forty-three square miles. Like most towns in the area, Niles is a mostly rural farming community. As of February of 2024, the town population was estimated at 1,150. Niles encompasses the hamlets of Austin, Conklin Cove, Globe Hotel Corners, Gregory Landing, Kelloggsville, New Hope, Niles, Omro, and Partello Corners.
