Parma is a town in Monroe County, New York. The town rests on Lake Ontario, which forms its northern border. It is around sixteen miles northwest of downtown Rochester., the town population was estimated at 16,000. The town was established in 1808 and named after Parma, a northern Italian region. Inside the town is a village named Hilton, where most of the town’s residents live. The village is named after a Union soldier turned pastor who lived in the area.
