Perinton is a large town in Monroe County, New York. The town covers approximately thirty-four square miles and has an estimated population of 47,000 (). The town is southeast of the City of Rochester and serves as its suburb. Perinton was named after its first settlers, the Perrin family, who lived there at the end of the 18th century.
