Remsen is a town and village in Oneida County, New York. The village is located within the town., the population of the town and village combined was estimated at 1,800. Remsen is located at the southern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, around eighteen miles north of Utica. In Remsen there is an elevation called Ninety-Five Hill and Ninety-Six Corners. The explanation of these names is unknown to this author.
