Scriba (pronounced scribe-UH) is a town in Oswego County, New York. The town sits on the southern shore of Lake Ontario, around forty miles north of Syracuse. It borders the smaller city of Oswego to the east., the population of Scriba was estimated at 6,500. The town was formed in 1811. There are five hamlets in Scriba. They are Lycoming, Scriba, North Scriba, South Scriba, and Lansing.
