South Bristol is a town in Ontario County, New York. It is part of the Finger Lakes region. Canandaigua Lake forms the town’s eastern border. South Bristol is around forty miles south of Rochester. The town is a mix of agricultural, forestland, and residential areas., the town population was estimated at 1,700. South Bristol covers a total area of forty-two square miles and encompasses the hamlets of Boswell Corners, Bristol Springs, Covel Corners, Gulick, Seneca Point, South Bristol, and Woodville.

CR-34 enters from the northwest and forms a “U” shape as it approaches South Bristol and NYS-64. Before reaching South Bristol, this road intersects the north south bound County Route 33 (CR-33), which serves the south part of town. The town’s western area is more rural than the rest and is only accessible by small one lane roads.
