Unadilla (pronounced you-nah-DILL-ah) is a town in Otsego County, New York. It is located approximately 40 miles northeast of the City of Binghamton., the town population was estimated at 4,200. Unadilla was settled in 1770 and established formally in 1792. In the Iroquois language, Unadilla means “meeting place”. There are several hamlets inside the town. They are Hughston Corner, Riverside, South Unadilla, Unadilla Center, and Wells Bridge. Additionally, there is one village, also named Unadilla. It is the town’s main population area and the location of town offices.
