Urbana is a town in Steuben County, New York. It sits on the southern end of Keuka Lake, one of the Finger Lakes. The town is approximately thirty miles north of Corning. The closest large city is Rochester, approximately eighty miles north. Urbana encompasses one village and several hamlets. The village is Hammondsport and the hamlets are Cold Springs, Glen Grove, Hermitage, Mitchellsville, North Urbana, Pleasant Valley, Rheims, and Urbana. , the total town population was estimated at 2,100.
