Van Etten, New York
Van Etten is a town located in Chemung County, New York. It is considered part of the Southern Tier region of New York State. Van Etten is around fifty miles west of Binghamton and around twenty miles east of Elmira., the town’s population was approximately 1,600. The town was settled in 1797 and officially formed in 1854. Van Etten is named after the two brothers that founded the earlier village settlement named Van Etten. Until 2018 the Van Etten village was a separate entity.
