Venice is a town in Cayuga County, New York. It is in the Finger Lakes region and is located between Owasco Lake to the east and Cayuga Lake to the west., the population was approximately 1,100. The town was named after the city of Venice, in Italy. The main east-west route in Venice is County Route 43B (Poplar Ridge Road/Long Hill Road). Most traffic stops occur on these main roads. The town does not have its own police department.
