Williamson is a town in Wayne County, New York. It is located on the southern shore of Lake Ontario approximately twenty-five miles northeast of downtown Rochester., the town population was estimated at 7,000. Three hamlets are in Williamson. They are East Williamson, Williamson, and Pultneyville. Williamson is primarily a rural agricultural town but has shifted in recent years to a suburban community for people working in Rochester. It is still well known for its apple farms.
