Barrington is a town in Yates County, New York. It is located approximately forty miles west of Ithaca and approximately seventy miles southeast of Rochester. The town rests on the eastern bank of Keuka Lake and is considered part of the Finger Lakes region. , Barrington had an estimated population of 1,600. The town consists of four hamlets named Barrington, Crosby, Crystal Spring, and Porter’s Corners.
