Denning, New York
Denning is a rural town in Ulster County, New York. The town covers roughly one hundred and five square miles. The vast majority of the town is forestland of the Catskill Mountains. Denning is located northeast of the Town of Liberty, north of the Town of Wawarsing, West of the Town of Olive, and south of the Town of Shandaken., the town had an estimated 600 full time residents. The town was established in 1849 and named after Willing Denning, a local landowner. There are eight hamlets in the town: Branch, Bull Run, Denning, Frost Valley, Greenville, Ladleton, Peekamose and Sundown.
