Plattekill (pronounced PLAH-ti-kill) is a town in Ulster County, New York. The town is in the Hudson Valley region, roughly halfway between New York City in the south and Albany in the north. It is just north of the small City of Newburgh. The town encompasses the hamlets of Ardonia, Clintondale, Flint, Modena, Modena Gardens, New Hurley, Plattekill, and Sylva., the estimated population of Plattekill was 10,400.
