Savannah is a town in Wayne County, New York. It is roughly forty miles west of the City of Syracuse and roughly twenty miles south of the Lake Ontario shore. The town was supposedly named after the more famous Savannah in the State of Georgia., the town has a small population of approximately 1,773. There used to be a village of Savannah within the town, but the village was disbanded in 1979. It is now a hamlet. Other hamlets are Evans Corners, Fort Hill, and Noble Corner.
