Tusten is a town in Sullivan County, New York. The town is in between the Poconos Mountains and the Catskill Mountains. It is located on the New York- Pennsylvania border, divided by the Delaware River. Tusten is a rural and remote town that is mostly forestland., the estimated town population was 1,400. The Hamlet of Narrowsburg serves as the main commercial area of the town.

There are two main roadways in Tusten that meet in the Hamlet of Narrowsburg. New York State Route 97 (NYS-97) runs north-south along the western side of town, parallel with the Delaware River. It runs between Port Jervis and Hancock. New York State Route 52 (NYS-52) comes in from the north in a southwest direction before turning west near Hunts Corners. From there, it runs west until Narrowsburg where it meets up with the NYS-97.
