Willet, New York
Willet is a town in Cortland County, New York. It is around 30 miles north of Binghamton and considered part of the Central New York region., the estimated population was 1,100. Willet covers approximately twenty-six square miles. The town was formed in 1818 and named after Marinus Willet, a politician and American Colonel during the Revolutionary War. Willet is made up of several hamlets. They are named Georgetown, Lakeview, Penelope, and Willet, the principal hamlet.
